When prints of originals are offered, we insist on working with artists who are intent on maintaining their “collectibility” by strictly limiting the size and number of prints made. Generally speaking, our artists keep their edition sizes to several hundred individual pieces, which are only offered in one or two sizes. We do not present artwork that is also available as a mass-market, open-edition poster quality print. The work here is FINE ART published for the discerning collector who may not have access to the original, but wants to acquire a piece of lasting value.

Though we do offer some serigraphs and lithographs, a large portion of our prints are produced as Giclees—print artwork made using a pigmented ink spray process (giclée is French for "to spray") developed exclusively for fine art printing. For more information on the Giclee process click here.

We also are fond of the ability for artist to go back and embellish the giclee prints on canvas and leave a rich, textured, mixed-media print that is closer to an original than ever before possible.

The framing found at Riviera Fine Art is performed by industry leaders and conforms to the Library of Congress specifications found here. We work with the artists to present their art in the way they envision it, but any custom framing can be easily be ordered. If we feel there is a project that is too specific we will recommend a quality framer in your area. Canvases may be shipped rolled, stretched or framed, but they are always fully insured and shipped with major carriers such as Fed Ex or UPS.

Art is acquired with discretionary income because it moves us in some way; it is different than any other commodity, and it is this special quality that we celebrate and hold dear. “Our” artists are our friends, just as our collectors are…we hope to make many more friends in the years to come by treating everyone with integrity and respect.
